  • Would your children when they grow up say your a cool parent?

I would like to think mine would. Well for a couple of reasons. My son is almost a year old (he'll be 1 year old end of next month) and we gave him a mo-hawk the other day. My daughter has dyed her hair pink (nor for halloween). Me - I have tattoos (4 to be exact) and by the end of the year I will have my whole right arm done as what people call a sleeve :) In the next month I will be getting 4 tattoos in one night - both wrist will be getting a bracelet, a copy of the bracelet on the top of my shoulder and that will be the beginning  and end of my sleeve then I will just have figure what I want in between LoL Then I am getting a scorpion right where I got stung :)

I also have piercing.  I have my tongue pierced (use to have it pierced twice but the second one closed up when I had my c-section). I have my belly button pierced along with both my nipples.

I will allow my children above the age of 16/17 to get a tattoo. As long as they thought long and hard about it and know that they have to have it for the rest of their life. Is my daughter want her belly button pierced at 14 I will allow her. I got mine done for my 14th birthday present. The other ones I got without consent (I got my nipple pierced in Febuary of this year) LOL.

    Pics of my tatoos
My first tattoo Wings go from hip to hip and the tail goes in my butt crack LMAO thats why it's covered by my pants hahaha

If my children when they get older want funky pink blue green hair... why not. They can have it. Hubby and I both agree on this. As long as there grades stay up they can do what they want to there hair (it grows back) They can pierce what they want (holes will close) Tattoos they have to earn and really know that they are forever.

Do you think you would be one of the cool parents when your children get older?

  • It's been hell

Ok, we hired these STUPID people to put in an inground pool. OMG I've regreted it ever since. First they knocked out our power lines with the digger thing and it took the power company 4 days to get it fixed and pwer back on. So we staied at a hotel. Now our yard is tore up from all the machines and trackters and they are NOT fixing it. They said they paied the city to fix the electricity. Well DUH youre suppose to you're the dumb asses that knocked over the pole and you're the dumb asses that ruined our lawn and part of our drive way is cracked and falling apart and my grass :( just when when I got it back green. GRRRR I re-read the contract and they ARE suppose to fix the yard and anything they damage. So, I've been dealing with corprate and all the other fun stuff.

Anyways our pool finally got done one Friday late afternoon it was done filling up with water. Guess what...

    IT'S BEEN RAINING SINCE

    WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!

  • G R E A T ....

Hubby's work is doing MAJOR layoffs. They gave the warning today that they will be speaking with everyone tomorrow.  Scared 1<-my f  ace when hubby told me then it was Grrr!! There has been rumors that they were going to do this for a while now. Of course we are worried as Hubby is the 3rd highest paid Semi-Truck driver at this company and one of the rumors was that they would be getting rid of the "big rigs" so the "babies" who get paid less can drive when they only have a less then a year driving Semi's. Granted I understand that every trucker has to start some where but that's what the helpers are for, so they can put miles under their belt. DUH!

I'm just worried and VERY just a tad ticked off. I'm worried that Hubby will be one of the ones who is going to go. I worry for the children sake, bills, food and you know the important stuff that we need to survive. So, today I got Hubby the long 21 page application to the Sheriff Department because they just opened up a new one here and are hiring like crazy along with a few other applications OY!

Hubby is stressing like a crack addict feening because there are 100s of jobs for CDL holders but NONE for local drivers where they will be home every night. They are all regnal or OTR (over the road). Where he can be gone from 4 days to 6 weeks at a time. I am not ready for him to be gone that long yet. Ayden is still not napping and sleeping for me Oy

I also got him on the computer for an application for LCRA. It is going to be very hard for him (anyone at that) to get into LCRA. But normally when people who have family members working there... that they have some pull. HOPEFULLY it will either be this or Sheriffs. ::sigh:: Robert Uncle and Cousin works for LCRA and have been for years and we'll be calling tomorrow to ask them for help LoL We agreed that if it does happen. He'll try and get the best job he can so I can continue to stay home if not he'll get a rinky dink job and I'll get a job on another shift because we CANNOT afford an arm and a leg paying for day care for the children. ECONOMY SUCKS BUTT

It just seems as when things starting to get better that BAM they all come crashing down hill! Blue

  • Trees Part I

This weekend and Monday we just kept going and going. UGH! Friday Hubby and I staied up until 2am playing Mexican Train. Saturday we were up bright and early and went into town to pay some bills, put money in the bank and do some food shopping at Wal-Mart & HEB. We did our monthly shopping, bought me a new coffee pot, the new george forman grill. We came home shortly after that then went pack everything to stay at my dads. We relaxed over there and played Rockband until 4am LoL We even plaied on Hard since we are maxed out on fans and have to move up on a new level.

Sunday we went to the Farmers Markets. I bought a bunch of veggies and fruit. We droped all the fruit and veggies off at dad's then we went to the Flea Market. I bought an Apple tree, Lemon tree and a Pecan Tree all for $45 WOOHOO Then I bought an habanareo (spelling?) pepper plant, cherry tomato plant and an jalenpeno plant too. So, we stoped off at Home Depot to get some potting soil and HUGE pots. I do not want to plant them here because we still plan on moving and dump the renting crapola, but I will have to plant the Apple, Lemon and Pecan Trees But now I do know where to get them without paying and arm and a leg.

  • Homemade Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Last night around 10pm I got bored and made homemade peanut butter cookies..yes at 10 LOL MMM They are delicious and very rich and Hubby said "best pb cookies I ever had" hahaha I was glowing all night so I think I'll trash my old recipe and keep this one instead!

    DSCF1864

Ingredients   (1 dozen if made by spoon full balls)

    • 1 cup of peanut butter (I used Reeses Creamy PB)
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup of white sugar
    • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
    • 1/2 teaspoon of baking SODA

    Directions

    1. Pre-heat oven to 350°
    2. Combine Peanut butter, egg, both sugars, baking soda and a splash of vanilla in a mixing bowl.
    3. Mix until well blended.
    4. Drop rounded spoon fulls on cookie sheet.*
    5. Bake 12-15 minutes
    6. Let cool
    7. ENJOY WITH MILK

    * On my second batch I tried the fork trick with getting the fork damp and dipping it into sugar and doing the cris cross that way and MMMMMM they were GOOOOD! VERY peanut buttery and moist!

The 1 cup only make about a dozen so if you are making it for a crowd I would double everything!
